Jack can eat with a spoon!!

It is official as 5:45 pm tonight; Jack can eat with a spoon! We have been practicing with a bowl of applesauce and a toddler spoon the past two weeks. Normally he just pours it out or digs with his hands but with some practice and mimicking from Mom and Dad he finally got it down! Of course he still got some on his tray and hands, but most of it got in his tummy.
Jack is still such a good boy and a very good listener (thank goodness!). He is so friendly and loves to wave to everyone. I have recently started a journal for him and I try to write in a few times a week. I feel like I sometimes forgot all the cute things he does and has done in the past so this way I can write about all of his little stories and he can have it when he is older.
A little story about last week I thought I would share. We have a lot of big trucks going up and down our street and the street across from our house because of construction. Last week Jack and I were outside drawing with side walk chalk and blowing bubbles. It was late in the afternoon and all the trucks must have been heading home and Jack loved watching them. There was a line of about 20 of them that just kept coming. Jack stood at the end of the driveway and waved and said hi to each and every one of the drivers until the last truck drove out of sight. It was so adorable and nearly every driver honked their horn for him (which I think frighten him a bit, but was still really sweet of them). He is such a friendly love bug! We don't know why we got so lucky to have such an amazing little one!
